Our Mission

Together, we’re changing the way the world thinks about accessibility and making the world a more sociable place for all.

Together, we’re changing the way the world thinks about accessibility and making the world a more sociable place for all.

To organise all the world’s accessibility information

For more than 1 billion disabled people worldwide, poor accessibility poses a significant barrier to social inclusion, equal opportunity and quality of life. Knowing the accessibility of a venue in advance makes a world of difference. With the right planning, obstacles can be overcome, stress can be avoided, and everyone can be included.

To give peace of mind to disabled people everywhere

In an inaccessible world, knowledge is power. By making it quick and easy to find detailed, reliable and accurate accessibility information, Sociability helps disabled people to plan ahead and explore their communities with confidence, purpose and ease.

To help accessible businesses shine bright

Accessibility makes economic sense. More accessible venues attract more customers and generate more revenue. In the UK alone, the spending power of disabled households is worth £274 billion per year – and yet UK hospitality and retail venues continue to miss out much of this economic opportunity by failing to properly cater for disabled customers. Sociability helps businesses better appreciate which barriers they have, what problems they’re creating and how to fix them. Better information gives disabled people the peace of mind they need to explore the world around them.
