The suggested route to view London's Christmas lights begins in Mayfair, before heading South towards the Christmas markets at Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square. Along the way, it can be difficult to find accessible places to stop for a warm drink and break from the crowds. At Sociability we make it easier by allowing users to filter for venues that meet their access needs. Here are some suggestions to start your Christmas planning!
1. Nightingale
The Christmas light route starts in Mayfair, home to a wide array of Christmas displays including the Ever After Garden. As you explore stop into the Nightingale Cafe by Berkeley Square. The cafe has step-free access and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom on site.

2. Lavazza Flagship Store
The Regent’s Street and Oxford Street Christmas lights intersect at Oxford Circus. Look to the left for hundreds of glowing stars, and to the right for Regent’s Street’s iconic angels. After, visit Lavazza’s Flagship Store and sample their rich Italian coffee! Not only is Lavazza step-free but it stays open late into the evening so you can warm up at any time.

3. People’s Place London
Journey down Regent’s Street to take in the Spirit of Christmas light display. Featuring enormous angels with 17-foot wingspan, the Spirit of Christmas will make you feel like you’re in a Christmas movie. When you reach the end take a break at People’s Place London. This cafe has large round tables to gather around, and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.

4. Ole & Steen
Finally, visit St James Market to learn about the history of Christmas lights in the area. Make sure to stop at the Wishing Tree, which lights up with each donation to The Felix Project. When you’re finished, cozy up with a Scandinavian pastry and hot chocolate at Ole & Steen. The cafe is three stories with plenty of seating options for different needs.
